History repeats itself, so does war in one aspect. This picture shows that as war continues, the death toll will also continue to get bigger. A lot of death is one of the main truths of war. War is a trap and the world continues to fall into that trap. This will only cause more people to die. The picture originally shows twelve bodies and then has mirrors to create copies of these caskets. The mirrors show the future outcomes of war if the world doesn’t put a stop to it. They foreshadow death. As the caskets go further back and start to fade away, a more ominous tone is set by the darkness of the colors. Advances in technology only make war more deadly. War is now fought with high-tech weapons and isn’t as up close as it used to be. Now instead, a soldier can call an airstrike and take out many enemies at the same time. It is only becoming harder to return home alive because this new technology makes it harder for soldiers to protect themselves. If this is bad, imagine what technology might be around in twenty years. A lot of people do not believe that there will ever be peace. The longer the world waits, the bigger this picture gets. This picture is a warning of how deadly war will continue to be.
