War is... A deep scar that for some will never heal.

Veterans go through a lot in war. They see things that are unspeakable. They have to kill people and it haunts them when they come back. They have to watch the people that become family die in front of them. They also have to deal with terrible injuries of their own that will haunt them. It is a very rare thing for a soldier to return home and be able to adjust to their normal life. War is their life, and it is a very different life. A lot of soldiers say that once they enter a war, it does not end until they are dead. In the photo, this soldier says that his life was firefights and death. Seeing things like that daily will change a man. They get used to seeing that and it hardens them. So when they return home, they don’t know how to do anything else but war. This soldier is saying that he was trained for war and that war is all he knows. So when he comes back, he has no clue what to do because there is no longer a war. He goes from fighting a war against another country to fighting a war against himself. He needs to try to remember how to live and to move on from what happened. A lot of soldiers go through this and eventually, it kills them.
